International Artist Jan Sebon warming up for the Haiti Caribbean Travelling Showcase Premiere July 25

For the past 20 years Jan Sébon, born in Haiti in the city of St. Louis du Nord, has been an authentic presence in the South Florida arts scene. As poet, musician, and media personality, this charismatic artist continues to define the Haitian experience with his unique voice, based on his own life experiences and culture.

Living and working in Miami, he exercises his artistic talents and political voice in support of friendship and unity with the entire world’s oppressed people. His involvement with music has been a lifelong passion. He plays classical guitar, flute and has formally studied West African drumming.

We are delighted to invite everyone who wants experience something different during their lunch break, to stop by at Landhuis Bloemhof on Tomorrow, Tuesday July 19, 2011 as of noon. Jan Sébon will perform in an intimate setting between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm as a preview to his performance in La Tentashon that’s start on Wednesday July 20, 2011 at 7:00 pm. This serves as well as a warm up to the Haiti Caribbean Travelling Showcase Muestra de Cine del Caribe 2011 that’s premiering July 25th 7:00pm in Teatro Luna Blou.
