The American ska-rock band No Doubt released an official music video for their new song “Push and Shove” featuring Busy Signal, and Major Lazer.
Since 1989 the group has consisted of vocalist Gwen Stefani, guitarist and keyboardist Tom Dumont, bassist and keyboardist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young. Since the mid-90s in live performances they are supported by trumpeter Stephen Bradley and trombonist Gabrial McNair.
The black and white video features the band walking through empty streets, hanging out at a bar, and having a sing-a-along during the chorus.
The story behind No Doubt‘s sixth album, Push and Shove is oddly familiar. The band put out a record a few years ago, toured, and then fell off the radar for a bit.
No Doubt is now back after 11 years and has once again evolved. Various songs build off of the band’s definitive sound, but as whole, Push and Shove finds No Doubt in new territory.
The song “Push and Shove” is the title track and a promotional single from the band’s sixth studio album. The album “Push and Shove” was released Sept. 25 via Interscope Records. It was the first full-length studio album the band has released since their 2001 album, “Rock Steady”.
In promotion for the album the band performed at the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival and during their set P!nk came out and performed “Just a Girl” with the band. You can view that performance here:
