“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up not doing nothing for nobody.” ― Malcom Bane

As we celebrated while we entered the first weeks of 2014 this holiday season, Su’Legria can’t be missed.

Now annually already on the first Friday of the year Fabash organizes Su’Legria and few weeks ago they celebrated their sixth edition of the concept that blends the electronic beats of house music with a Caribbean flair. This year we had performances of Afrojack, Shermanology, Franky Rizardo and Leroy Styles supported with acts by DJ Karixon, DJ Natsuj, DJ Jack and MC Gee.

First and foremost, we are thankful to be part of a nation, and community that values innovative concepts and entertainment. There is no greater gift than living in a country that believes in great talents, where we are living testimony of the greatness of our own people.

Furthermore what made me write this post is the recognition to the organization, the backbone, together with their public raised a total of ANG. 5000,- and offered it to the kids of Siloam.

Siloam Village is a Christian center and convalescent home in Curaçao. Terminally ill children find a loving home here since 1997. Children’s Convalescent Siloam is a small area for children with complex care needs. Children who can’t be in the hospital anymore, because a cure is no longer possible.

“Giving back is among the most important and valuable things an entrepreneur can do. Period.”

Your biggest and sole reward is the realization that you’ve made a significant change in someone’s life. And if not “significant” then a positive change nevertheless.

“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.” ― Henry James
