Beyoncé paralyzes the audience with an incredible fifteen minute medley performance of multiple songs from Beyoncé’s self-titled fifth studio album. The legendary icon “Queen B” was awarded with the annual MTV’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and celebrated her huge honor with a cute moment with her adorable family (even-though Blue Ivy should have been sleeping then)! Beyoncé was visibly emotional as she accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from Jay Z and Blue Ivy at the 2014 VMAs.
The 2014 VMAs marked Beyoncé’s fourth time performing at the MTV award show, but during the show she was also nominated for more VMAs than any other artist. Beyoncé was up for Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for “Drunk In Love” with her hubby Jay Z, including Best Female Video and Best Choreography for her hit “Partition.”
Beyoncé’s performance was out of this world, and without doubt she should have been awarded the Video Vanguard Award just as it has been to Madonna, Britney Spears, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson in the past.
“I just thank God for this moment,” Beyonce said, telling the audience that she’s overcome with gratitude. She also told “Blue Blue” that she loves her, thanked her “beloved” and also thanked her fans.
Congratulations Beyoncé, Recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at #VMA‘s 2014.
