CONGRATULATIONS to Geoffrey Golden the SUNDAY BEST Champion!

 

The gifted young’ Candace Benson and Geoffrey Golden beat out countless contestants to become the final two remaining singers in BET’s “Sunday Best” gospel music competition.

 

Sunday Best is a reality television Gospel singing competition series which airs on BET. The show and its judges set out to find the best undiscovered gospel talent to show off their vocal abilities among the world’s finest in a genre of music that both blesses and inspires such as host and producer Kirk Franklin, mentor Kim Burrell, and judges Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams and Kierra Sheard. 

 

SUNDAY BEST conducted for the seventh time a nationwide talent search, taking auditions to cities all across the country. The top contestants were coached by great performers from the gospel and secular worlds as they strive to win the SUNDAY BEST title, what the up and coming rising Luther did, Geoffrey Golden – becoming the second male singer to win the competition. 

 

Geoffrey D. Golden is an anointed young man who is passionate for God, passionate about the Word of God, and passionate about music. Geoffrey is the third son born to Pastor Kevin and Beverly Golden in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1994. Geoffrey is very active at Glenville Church of Christ (Holiness) USA, his father’s church, serving as the Worship Team Coordinator.

Geoffrey is a junior at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. On campus, he is a student senator and and co-founder of LightHouse, a prayer, bible study and worship arts ministry. During the school year, he serves as a musician at Higher Calling Ministries COCHUSA.

He presently serves as the National Congress Coordinator of Praise & Worship for COCHUSA, and is a member of the organization’s World Mission Board. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, representing the convention’s Youth and Young Adult Department.
